Hunter Boggs,
Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer on our Quality Assurance Team, Hunter plays a key role in ensuring Archer customers receive parts that meet their specifications. One of Hunter’s primary responsibilities is programming and managing our Doss and OGP visual inspection systems. In addition, he trains Quality Technicians and oversees all inspections. “New processes are also core components of my work,” Hunter said. In fact, finding unique ways to “problem-solve different situations that come up in the Quality department,” is an aspect of his job he finds particularly satisfying.

Hunter said one thing that makes Archer a great place to work is the collaborative culture between the front office and the manufacturing floor. “There is a cohesiveness between the two units that is uncommon among typical factory environments,” he said.

Hunter is a big sports fan, and when he’s not working, there’s a good chance he’s watching baseball. “It’s a yearly tradition to travel to Atlanta and watch the Braves play.” He also loves listening to music alongside any activity he’s doing. Another favorite is traveling. “I enjoy visiting new places and trying the local food, breweries, and wineries in the vicinity,” he said.

When he’s not in the middle of the action in the Archer warehouse, Lavar can often be found on the sidelines of a football field, coaching a high school team. He also spends as much time as he can with his family, including his mother, his wife, and their five children. “We enjoy being at home cooking, planning family activities, and watching the younger children play,” Lavar said.

It’s a high-pressure job, but that doesn’t bother him a bit. “I love the pressure and excitement of meeting the constantly changing demands” of a manufacturing plant. He also likes the materials we use, saying, “rubber is fun to work with.”

We know that a great company culture starts at the top, and Thanh finds that to be true at Archer. “The owner cares for everyone working here, and because of that leadership we have a great team.

Away from the production floor, Thanh enjoys exercise, being outdoors, and is a “big fan of MMA (mixed martial arts) competition.” Thanh and his wife have two sons. “My oldest boy joined the Marines in 2013.
